The National Ethanol Conference highlighted the rapid emergence of bioCO2, beyond its historic co-product and sequestration value, as now an equalized credit option for bioethanol refineries to on-site valorize CO2 into value-added formates and organic molecules and expand the utilization of the carbon content of corn.
Todd shared OCOchem’s deployable industrial scale technology, provided a progress update on OCOchem’s first commercial demonstration project deployment with ADM in Decatur, IL and the comparative benefits and opportunities for ethanol producers to convert CO2 into formate chemicals and derivatives without the well, pipeline and wait of CO2 sequestration to realize and stack federal, state and private market carbon credits.
